GROWING GUIDE
Pre-Sowing Instructions: Soak the seeds for 24 hours.
Sowing Instructions: Sow at any time of the year. Sow in pots or trays in moist seed compost mixed 50:50 with vermiculite or perlite and just cover the seeds with sieved compost. Seal in a polythene bag and place in the fridge or other cold place between 2-5C for 6 weeks. Keep checking to make sure the compost doesn’t dry out and for any seeds which have germinated.
Move to a propagator or shaded windowsill and maintain an optimum temperature of 15-20C. Germination can be slow and erratic but should occur after 3-6 weeks. As the seedlings emerge, gradually increase ventilation by opening the bag or propagator vents.
Growing Instructions: Grow the seedlings on in cooler conditions with plenty of light, but shaded from direct sun, repotting as necessary and keep the compost just moist at all times.
