Striking, architectural, perennial grass providing valuable year round colour and adding form and texture to any garden.  Forms a fountain like clump of fresh, green foliage in spring which later develops shades of yellow, orange and red.  A very welcome splash of colour in the winter and a beautiful sight covered in frost.

GROWING GUIDE

Sowing Instructions: Sow any time of year except early to mid summer.  Sow thinly onto the surface of a moist, free-draining seed compost (eg. John Innes). Do not cover seed and do not exclude light which is beneficial to germination. Propagate at about 20C in a propagator, greenhouse or on a windowsill indoors sealed in a polythene bag. Germination should occur in 10-90 days and can be erratic hence the need to sow the seeds thinly so seedlings can be potted up without disturbing the rest of the seeds too much.

Growing Instructions: Grow the seedlings on, shaded lightly from direct sunlight and when large enough to handle, pot up individually into 8 or 9cm pots. When large enough, plant out in a sunny position.
